Primary 5L

6th of February

This week the weather hasn’t been so great for the teachers but it’s been brilliant for the kids. On Monday we had music with Mrs Brockley we played the a percusson instrument - sorry but we don’t know what it’s called. On Tuesday we had choir with Mrs Simpson,  we sang some stage audition songs and we had lots of fun !!!! On Wednesday we had gym with Mrs Murphy. We played badminton and we all enjoyed ourseleves. On Thursday we went home early because it was a snow day – yeah! On Friday we designed our costums for the fashion show, they were all fabby.

5th of December

This week we were practising our christmas concert. We were split in to groups. Group a and b. On Tuesday Madam Roberts came and we did some french and maggie (one of the tables in our class) got to make a big picture. On Wednesday we went to the G.P room and practised our songs for our concert. On Thursday we went to art and we drew butterflies. On Friday we  went to the sports centre and played some games like dodgeball.

28th of November

This week we have had lots of fun with Mrs Tibbetts. On Monday we went to a christmas concert rehearsal. On Tuesday we made up designs for an egg box. On Wednesday we went to the G.P room. We also did story writing about dreams. On Thursday we went to art and made things for our fashion show. We also went to the library. On Friday we went outside and tested our packaging for our eggs.

21st of November

This week we have had lots of fun with our new student teacher Mrs Tibbetts. We have been learning about maths doing weight. It was really hard but we got it in the end. Our new project is recycling,reducing,reusing and the enviroment. In Music we have been learning our christmas songs for the show in December. Some of us are going along to see the Culter Christmas lights turn on. Just a reminder that our fashion show flyers will be going out to every classroom in the school. We will be making fancy clothes out of old clothes, old materials and rubbish.

7th November 2008

This week we have been dancing with Miss Lints in P.E. Everyone enjoyed the physical exercise.In Art we have been drawing cans with Ms Abercrombie and Mrs Tibbetts. In writing, we been inventing fireworks and writing newspaper articles about what the witnesses said. We also have a new project on Recycling and we might be doing a fashion show with old pieces of paper and material.

This week Miss Brockley took us to music and we learned two of our christmas songs. On Tuesday we had fun doing french with Miss Roberts.  On Wednesday, we did writing. It was fun. On Thursday, we went to art and we did design.

Welcome back from October holidays! If you can remember before the October holidays, we had BLINK day where we had to dress up in pink and blue to support cancer charities. The winner from 5L was Shaun Corthals and he won a Halloween toy that can sing. Bethany and Amelia were the runners-up.
